This is probably an alias.

Title: The Warrior of Light.

Preferred job: <s>Astrologian.</s> Sage.

Race: Hyur Midlander.

Sex/gender: Male/male.

Sexuality: Anything works for him. Anything.

Age: <s>Late 20s.</s> <s>Early to mid-30s.</s> Rapidly approaching old age.

Nameday: He claims it's the 1st Sun of the 1st Astral Moon.

Guardian: Althyk, the Keeper.

Grand Company: The Maelstrom.

Chocobo's name: Jackpot.

Current residence: Fortemps Manor, the Gold Saucer, an apartment in <s>The Mist</s> Shirogane, or a private house in Lavender Beds he somehow managed to acquire legitimately. (He also spends way too much time in Amaurot.)

Abridged overview: Cain's backstory, as told by him, is remarkably inconsistent. Sometimes he will claim he was always an adventurer, right from the day he took his first step; it's a poetic tale of humble beginnings and destined ends. At other times, he'll describe how he found his calling during a routine business trip to Ul'dah to sell minerals and ore. The details of his origin story--people, places, even dates--vary across the board depending on whom he's speaking to. Nevertheless, a handful of eyewitnesses can account for Cain arriving in Ul'dah, as many would-be adventurers did, a few years after the Battle of Carteneau. He inquired at the Gladiators' Guild with a significant interest in self-defense over fighting in the arena. He was never too comfortable with being a "tank," but it did feed into his ego and the need to feel important. Awakening the Echo and becoming the Warrior of Light was the shock of a lifetime for him, and not a particularly good one.

comments https://redraw.dreamwidth.org/870.html public
